The picture wire simply snaps in and remains captive until you pull on the string that releases the hook lock. The string hangs behind the picture.
The kit contains (4) 1" x 1" industrial VELCRO brand hook and loop fastener pads that are placed in the lower corners of the picture to hold it against the wall. For pictures weighing under 10 pounds, (2) picture hooks, (2) nails, (2) Surface prep pads.
