Choose Normal or Flash using selector switch on bottom of unit. In normal mode, press button once for 100-percent extra bright light. Press again for 50-percent power (great as a nightlight or when full light might disturb others.) In Flash mode, press and hold down button to turn on light. Once button is released, the light will go off.
