Used worldwide by government, humanitarian relief organizations, and large expedition groups
The Expedition is the ideal pump filter for groups and has proven itself numerous times under extreme conditions. It is a fast, reliable filter is easy to operate and maintain.
The proven Katadyn technology, durable materials and a flow rate of up to 4 liters/minute (approx. 1 gallon) make the Expedition the perfect travel companion for groups from 4 people and up. Thanks to the 2 m (78 inch) long intake hose you’ll easily reach low-lying water sources and immediately and reliably turn it into bacteria free, safe drinking water. The ceramic filter element out of our industrial use line has a service life of up to 100‘000 liters (26'000 gallons).
The Katadyn ceramic with a pore size of 0,0002mm (0.2 micron) reliably holds back all pathogenic bacteria and protozoa such as: giardia, cryptosporidium, salmonella, amoebas, e-coli etc.
With an easy single pumping mechanism water is turned immediately into safe drinking water, retaining its natural mineral content, without the need for boiling. The used ceramic element can easily be cleaned by brushing the surface with an abrasive pad. A measuring gauge is provided to check the minimum diameter of the ceramic element.
