CALCULATING SHIPPING COSTS
How Are Shipping Costs Calculated?
Shipping charges are calculated online and based upon our rate chart below plus a 15% processing fee. These amounts are estimates and are not always indicative of what will actually be charged by us in certain cases. Orders that are adjusted to reflect an increase in shipping charges will include a 15% processing fee. Final shipping & processing fees will be charged without prior notice and emailed with tracking number.
Due to many factors including item sizes, weights, multiple item orders, destination, and shipping methods chosen, We are unable to offer real-time shipping quotes, and can only estimate based upon the percentage of an order.
Are You Making Money Off Of The Shipping And Handling Charges?
No, shipping and handling is not a profit center for us. The majority of your shipping charge goes to the freight carrier. We add a 15% handling fee to help defray the other expenses necessary to get your order to you such as packaging materials, package processing and other expenses.
You will be quoted a shipping charge at time of order placement (as seen in emailed order confirmation), (based on percentage of order); At time of order processing we may modify your order to reflect an increase in shipping fees due to box size, weight, multiple box order, destination, etc. We will add a 15% Processing fee to this shipping fee.
Quoted Rate: $10.95 (based upon percentage of order)
Actual Shipping Fee: $14.87 (fees we pay freight carrier to ship your order)
15% Processing Fee: $2.23 (added to actual shipping fee & to cover processing)
Total S&P Fees: $17.10 (emailed with tracking number)
Additional shipping cost may be incurred on items that are exceedingly heavy, bulky or large and all express orders. This includes express orders that require additional packaging and or larger box(s). Please note that some Zip Codes are considered more rural by our freight carriers and may incur an additional shipping fee at time of processing. These additional fees will be added to your order in addition to quoted shipping fees without prior notice.

These fees may apply to other items sold but not listed here
Please Note: Express order shipping cost may exceed actual product cost due to weight and package dimension, shipping method chosen and destination.
WE DO NOT SHIP OVERSEAS, TO P.O. BOXES, APO, OR FPO ADDRESSES
Orders of $2,500.00 or more not quoted but will be based upon our rate chart as seen below below, plus handling fees.
Express orders ship the same day (if Received by 10 AM, Pacific Time).
Depending on the items amount and or the value or nature of the items sent, some orders will be sent with "signature required" or "adult signature required" and will not be left at shipping address. You agree to be responsible to be present for delivery of your order or reshipping, handling and or restocking fees will be charged.
SHIPPING CHARGES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE
We are not responsible for shipment damage if not notified of damage within 48 hours. Products that have been altered or damaged, whether used or unused when out of the control of Safety Central are considered non-returnable and non-restockable.
We will cover priority postage or Ground Fedex shipping charges (from you to us) ONLY when due to defect in merchandise. Returns must be complete with parts, accessories, manuals, etc. Products with defects caused by misuse, abuse, accidents, modifications, negligence, failure to read and adhere to operating instructions, repairs or attempts at repairs, lack of proper routine maintenance and other causes beyond the control of us are not covered in this policy. Batteries and / or damage caused by faulty or leaking batteries are the responsibility of the purchaser. Once returned and evaluated to be defect a full refund will be given.
BACK-ORDERED AND DISCONTINUED ITEMS
We do not automatically back order items. If an item you ordered is not included in your shipment you will find a green notice stating that the item is either back-ordered or discontinued. We only charge for items that have been included and shipped in your order. Shipping charges may be higher on some items ordered. Minimun shipping charges apply to all orders.
SHIPMENT TIMES & DELAYS
We are not responsible for service transit time. Transit times are provided by Fedex and USPS, exclude weekends and holidays. Delivery times may vary due to peak seasonal demands, weather conditions, disasters and acts and conditions beyond the control of these carriers.
TIME IN TRANSIT DISCLAIMER
We will not be held responsible for shipment delays and are unable to issue refunds for shipping charges because of delayed shipments due to peak seasonal demand, acts of God, acts or failures of Buyer, acts of civil, military authority, earthquakes, hurricanes, Snowstorms, fires, strikes, floods, epidemics, attacks, war, delays in transportation, acts and conditions beyond the control of our freight carriers. other causes beyond Seller's reasonable control, including, without limitation, delays in obtaining or inability to obtain labor, products, necessary credit card authorization, address verification and/or necessary information from buyer to process order. Our responsibility lies in the fulfillment of orders within our facility and readying the packages for UPS and USPS pickup from our facility. Our guarantee to you is that your package will leave our facility within the time specified in our shipping schedule. Please adjust your schedule accordingly.
SHIPPING INTO A DISASTER ZONE
Customer assumes full responsiblity of all charges incurred by us due to the attempt of shipping items into and within the outer-laying areas of a disaster zone.
Mistakes happen. We strive to have all orders processed fully and correctly. On occasion a problem can occur. It is important that you immediately notify us of any problems with your order. Please do so within 48 hours. Remember, sometimes an order is sent in several boxes, you should have received an email with the tracking number for each box. Track each package to ensure one isn't delayed in transit or left at a neighbors. When notifying us of a problem, please provide your order number, a list of the quantity and items you received a list of the quantity and items shown on the packing list, and a description of the problem.

We ship according to Fedex & USPS Holiday shipping schedules. Please adjust your schedule accordingly.
The following information pertains to all shipments within the continental United States, Alaska, and Hawaii.
Only Fedex Next Day Air, Fedex 2ND Day Air shipping options offer a guaranteed delivery date. Orders cannot be returned due to customer timing issues and expected delivery dates other than what is stated on our site. Though UPS may post an estimated delivery date, this is their estimated delivery date (which often varies) and not our estimated delivery date which takes into account our many years of experience with delivery times.
Fedex Next Day Air Orders received prior to 10am PST (Pacific Standard Time) Monday through Friday, will leave on the same business day ordered. PLEASE NOTE: Weekends & Holidays are not counted in shipping time. Please adjust your schedule accordingly.

Express These orders are typically processed and shipped from our warehouse within 1-3 business days upon receipt of your order. Express orders will be shipped via USPS and/or Fedex. PLEASE NOTE: Weekends & Holidays are not counted in shipping time. Please adjust your schedule accordingly.
Standard These orders are typically processed and shipped from our warehouse within 2-5 business days upon receipt of your order. Standard orders will be shipped via USPS and/or Fedex. This time may increase due to high demand, product availability and incoming freight delays due to weather conditions and other acts beyond our control. Please adjust your schedule accordingly.
